Abstract

1278305 Valves ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 28 Aug 1969 [29 Aug 1968] 42865/69 Heading F2V A pressure-limiting valve, e.g. in a vehicle braking system formed by a brake valve 4 and cylinder 6, comprises a closure member 24 on a cup-shaped piston 19 loaded to an open position by an adjustable spring 22, and closed by fluidpressure in a chamber 13 when it overcomes the spring force, the piston and the member 24 having faces of equal effective area which are subjected to pressure from the valve 4 when the limiting valve is closed. A seat 17 is formed on a metal reinforced plastics ring 15 secured in the housing by a circlip 16. The chamber 18 in which the piston is located is closed by a disc 9 having a portion 12 to limit the opening of the valve. The piston is formed with a cylindrical portion 27 and a protuberance 28 to act as guides, and a bottom cup portion 26 welded thereto.
