1277392 Photo-electric wind direction indicator E M ROYDS-JONES 19 April 1971 [12 Jan 1970] 1332/70 Heading G1A The wind direction indicated by a vane a Fig.1 is read electrically by a photo electric arrangement in which a disc b carrying two opposed crescent shaped apertures around its axis is coupled to the vane for movement and interposed between a light source 1 and a pair of photo-cells d the outputs of which are differentially connected. A suitable circuit and an alternative disc configuration are exemplified.
