1277006 Assembling force fits UNBRAKO Ltd 9 June 1969 [8 June 1968] 27364/68 Heading B3U [Also in Division F2] A cylindrical member having a head portion 13 with axial knurls 15 is axially forced into a cylindrical recess 19 of a diameter intermediate the maximum and minimum diameters of the knurled head 13 so as to form complementary knurls in the wall of the recess 19. A shaft, spindle or, as shown, a screw is forced into the recess 19 of a support 16 by a tool 21 or by use of a nut (25) (Fig. 5, not shown) engaging a screw-threaded portion 14 of the cylindrical member and bearing on the support face (17) through a sleeve (26). A frusto-conical shoulder (23) between the shank 10 and head 13 may engage a similar shoulder (24) at the end of the recess 19. The knurls 15 may extend slightly beyond the plane of the bevel (23) (Fig. 11, not shown).
