127,607. Whitehead Torpedo Works, Ltd., Lees, E., and Ridsdale, H. W. April 27, 1917. Torpedoes, locomotive. -Relates to net cutters of the " lance-head " type used on the noses of torpedoes, and consists mainly in arranging them to cut the net in only one place at a time. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the cutter comprises four blades A - - D formed with staggered cutting-dents a - - d at different diameters and in different transverse vertical planes. Only one of the blades need be a cutting-blade; and the blades, or those in cr near the horizontal, are arranged not to project beyond the tangent to the torpedo passing through the apex of the apparatus.
