Abstract
1275754 Valves ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd 8 Sept 1969 [14 Sept 1968 17 March 1969] 43820/68 and 13927/69 Heading F2V [Also in Division F1] The invention relates to a gas turbine plant (see Division F1). In Fig. 2 the compressor drive turbine 24 and power turbine 32 are shown disposed in working fluid duct 35, a by-pass valve 36 controlling flow through by-pass duct 38 and a control valve 34 being shown. The by-pass duct is controlled by annular valve member 56 which moves ciroumferentially and axially by actuators 61 through linkage 62, 63, 59, the valve member 56 co-operating with an annular port 55 and being provided with sealing devices 57, 58. The control valve 34 comprises two series of arcuate members 66 which are formed with arms 70 which are pivotally mounted on tangential pins 72, the valve members being movable by actuators 80 which engage the valve members by a hook-shaped member 82, also by a roller 84. The valve members 66 are formed with openings 90 so as to permit a restricted flow of fluid when the valve members are in the closed positions.
