Abstract
1275595 Piezo-electric motors EASTMAN KODAK CO 22 May 1969 [27 May 1968] 26251/69 Heading H2A [Also in Division H4] Piezo-electric elements 17, 19, separated by a conductive spacer 21 are assembled between a back member 11 and an output member 13 by a bolt 15. A housing 41 surrounds the transducer elements and extends about the output element with a resilient seal 43 between the output element and the housing to retain a liquid, such as mineral oil diphenyl, or water, within the housing to transfer heat from the elements to the housing, which is finned to increase heat dissipation. The transducer assembly is supported from the housing by an apertured metal plate 33, connected to the transducer assembly at a nodal point of the output member. A shround S surrounds the housing and cooling air is supplied thereto via a rectangular slot 71 and removed therefrom by a second slot (71), Fig. 4 (not shown).
