Abstract

1275534 Hinges H L WEISS 18 Feb 1971 4920/71 Headings E2B and E2F [Also in Division B8] A cover 38 is hinged to a box 20 by means of U-shaped members 42 having out-turned flanges 58, 60 and which are either resilient and have projections 64, 66 or have resilient projections (82, 84) Fig. 7 (not shown) to retain the members in apertures, e.g. 62, into which they are inserted. A pivot pin 44 is passed through the aligned base portions of the members and is retained therein by projections 74. The pin carries a spring 46 urging the cover 38 to the closed position. The box may be a power distribution box having power points which are protected by the cover 38; Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown). The members 42 may be of metal or moulded plastics.
