Abstract

1,274,461. Friction clutches. NISSAN MOTOR CO. 21 May, 1969 [5 June, 1968], No. 25820/69. Heading F2C. In a friction clutch having a driven disc 12 between a flywheel 10 and presser plate 15, the driven disc 12 is bent at 20 and its internal resilience separates the disc from the flywheel 10 during disengagement. The bend may be provided in an outer disc 16 carrying friction faces 18 or in an inner disc 17 connecting the outer disc 16 to a hub 13. The bend may be provided within the extent of the friction faces 18. The bend may be provided by connecting the inner and outer discs 16, 17 at an angle.
