Shock of Landing, deadening; land wheels.-A wheel, particularly for use on aircraft, has a tread formed by one or more series of small wheels each fitted with a preferably pneumatic tyre. In the construction shown in Figs. 3 and 4, the frame comprising a hub A, spokes B and polygonal rims C carries two sets of small wheels E. In the modification shown in Figs. 5 and 7, the wheels E are mounted on the end of arms G, each formed with a bracket I, which is connected to the main hub A by a spring J. The spokes B may be replaced by disks.
