Abstract

1,272,267. Liquid storage arrangements. H.N.L. (PTY) Ltd. 16 July, 1969 [16 July, 1968; 4 Sept., 1968], No. 35925/69. Heading E1T. A liquid storage arrangement comprises a plurality of elongated containers 12, 14 interconnected by pipe(s) 26 at least one of which, viz: container 12, incorporates a float-operated supply valve 16 for controlling liquid flow to all the containers, the container(s) 12 being positioned with its axis horizontal such that valve 16 is operated by the liquid level parallel to such axis. Container 14 may be either horizontal, as shown, or vertical (Fig. 5, not shown). Access openings 32, 34 in container(s) 12, and similar openings in container(s) 14 have removable covers 36, 38, 40. A drain pipe 20 connected to an overflow pipe 24 incorporates a shut-off valve 20. The containers may either be connected in series, as shown, or in parallel (Fig. 4, not shown).
