A denture mould 20 e.g. of thin plastics material has a U-shaped moulding cavity 30 with inner and outer flexible walls 31, 32 to receive false teeth 42 which are immovably held in their proper position by a binder 44 or by appropriately shaped cavities. A cold curing slurry 46, Fig. 8 of plastics material is poured into the cavity and the mould placed in the user's mouth with the gum located between the walls 31, 32; pressure is applied by the gums to form the plastics material to the desired shape and, after removal from the mouth, the material is allowed to finally set, after which the mould is removed from the denture. Before placing in the mouth the mould may be located in an envelope of thin sheet to protect the gum from the plastics material. The mould of Fig. 6 is for an upper denture and has weakened lines along which it may be cut in order to expand or contract it to fit the user's mouth, after which the cut portions are held in the desired position by adhesive tape 26. A pad may be positioned between the user's tongue and a palate portion 28 of the mould to provide a greater moulding pressure. Upper and lower dentures may be moulded at the same time or separately.
