In an indicating device e.g. for converting from English to metric units and vice versa, there are provided a pair of concentric relatively rotatable drums 11, 13 which are drivingly connected by gearing, the inner drum having numerical markings on its outer surface and the outer drum being provided with a window through which the markings can be observed, the markings indicating the number of complete revolutions of one drum relative to the other. The window may be itself observed through a stationary cursor window 15. In the embodiment described a further drum portion 14 extends within the inner drum 11 from the outer drum 13, a scale being provided on this portion which may be observed through a further window in the drum 11.
