Abstract

1,270,272. Inhalers. RIKER LABORATORIES Inc. 3 April, 1969, No. 17723/69. Heading AST. [Also in Divisions B8 and Fl] In a dispenser for inhalation therapy comprising a housing 11, Fig. 2, or 60, Fig. 4, for receiving an aerosol dispensing container with a metering valve 20, a latch 45, 47 or 65, 66 adapted to co-operate with the container and a vane 38 or 62, is released when the vane is moved to open an aperture 51 or 61, in an air passage through the housing, by a pressure differential thereacross. When the vane 38 or 62 is moved, by inhalation through the mouthpiece 14 and the container 10 is being urged downward manually, the latch is released to permit the container to move downwardly and open the valve 20.
