Abstract

1,269,496. Buoys. POST OFFICE. 13 June, 1969 [15 March, 1968], No. 12765/68. Headings B7A and B7S. In a buoy comprising a tubular spine 1 and a moorings lock 45 located at one end of the spine, the lock has two pivotal locking members 49, 50 which in the closed position engage moorings cable 43 which extends along the bore of the spine. A releasable clasp 58 retains the locking members in the closed position. The buoy shown includes a series of buoyancy elements 2 threaded on the tubular spine and releasably secured there by retaining spiders 3 and screws 36.
