Controllers, actuating-mechanism for. - To secure a step-by-step motion in a forward direction of a starter arm, an indented quadrant A is attached to the arm and is engaged by a spring- pressed plunger C arranged radially with respect to the quadrant. The plunger is carried by a frame D which is revolubly mounted and is held by a spring against a stop L. When the starter is moving to the on position, the plunger C enters each of the indentations in succession, but during the return movement the frame D is rotated to take the plunger C out of action.
