In an all metal link chain, each link comprises a pack 4 of plates or blades 7 contained in a sleeve 5 and disposed in apertures in longitudinal plates 1 which are interconnected by hinge pins 2, and the plates or blades 7 are supported in the direction of movement of the chain by disclike members 15 mounted on the hinge pins 2 and contacting the sleeves 5 of adjacent links. The sleeves 5 are secured against lateral displacement by lugs 6 which engage the plates 1. The blades 7 may be located within the sleeves 5 by apertured plates 9, Fig. 4, or apertured plates 14, Fig. 5. Alternatively, a pin 12, Fig. 7, may pass through slots 12 in the blades 7 and be secured to the sides of sleeve 5.
