Abstract

1,267,492. Stabilized polycarbonates. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 22 Jan., 1970, No. 3142/70. Addition to 1,138,384. Heading C3R. Polycarbonate resins of dihydric phenols are colour stabilized by adding to the resin from 0.01 to 0.5 weight per cent of an epoxidized cyclo-aliphatic compound containing up to 30 carbon atoms and 1 or 2 cyclo-aliphatic rings with six carbon atoms. In the examples, the polycarbonate of Bisphenol A is blended with 3,4 - epoxy - cyclo hexylmethyl - 3,4 - epoxycyclohexane carboxylate.
