Abstract

1,265,722. Flexible skips with bottom discharge orifices. INDUSTRIE PIRELLI S.p.A. 14 Feb., 1969 [17 Feb., 1968], No. 8096/69. Heading B8H. The bottom of a flexible skip 2 is provided with a cone-shaped section 6 which is lowered to the position shown in the left-hand side of the Figure during discharge of the contents and is stowed within the base of the skip during transit, as shown in the right-hand side of the Figure. The lower end of the cone 6 is sealed to a closure disc 4 provided with a discontinuous ring 15 which has been described in Specification 1,229,553. The ring 15 permits engagement of the disc 14 with hooks 11 attached to a ring 10 at the base of the cylindrical portion of the skip.
