Abstract

1,265,652. Pneumatic tyres. DUNLOP HOLDINGS Ltd. 18 April, 1969 [20 April, 1968], No. 18764/68. Heading B7C. A pneumatic tyre tread has a plurality of circumferentially spaced alternately zig-zag and rectilinear slots 1, 2 skewed with respect to the mid-circumferential plane X-X, each slot extending radially inwardly from the ground contacting surface and having a bulbous crosssectional enlargement 7.spaced from said surface. Each slot comprises three portions, the axially innermost portion having the enlargement at the base, a central portion in which the enlargement is spaced from the base, and an axially outermost portion in which the enlargement is at the base of the slot, but the slot is less deep than in the other two portions.
