Abstract

1,265,004. Distributor plate for fluidised bed. DISTINGTON ENG. CO. Ltd. 22 Jan., 1970 [25 Oct., 1968], No. 50854/68. Heading B1F. The two plates of a non-sieving distributor are mounted so as to be substantially unrestrained for horizontal movement. Thus the ends of plates 3', 4' are mounted using fibrous refractory material 7 and loosely placed fibrous refractory material 9. The perforations in plates 3' and 4' are preferably staggered such that on shut down, particles with a natural angle of repose of 45‹ passing through plate 4' will not reach the perforations in plate 3'.
