Abstract
1,264,421. Transistor switching circuits. MICRO CONSULTANTS Ltd. 2 Jan., 1970 [2 Jan., 1969], No. 323/69. Heading H3T. [Also in Division G3] To reduce the effective resistance of a threeterminal switching device 6 when in its "on" mode it is connected in a circuit comprising a differential amplifier 3 with a feedback loop 5 between the output terminal 9 of the device and an inverting input terminal 2 of the amplifier, so that the output signal to a load 10 is continuously substantially equal to an analogue input signal applied to the non-inverting terminal 1 of the amplifier. In Fig. 2 (not shown), a single amplifier is connectible to either of two loads through respective switching devices, and an extra switching device is provided in each of the respective feedback loops to isolate them when its associated main switching device is off. The devices may be field effect transistors, bipolar transistors or M.O.S.T.'s, and the complete circuit constructed in monolithic integrated form.
