A dewlap tag comprises a plate-like member 11 having a pair of spaced arms projecting therefrom. A fold of skin from the dewlap of an animal is positioned between the spaced arms and a pin 16 with a split barbed head is passed through passages in the arms and the fold of skin (not illustrated).
