Abstract

1,263,323. Valves. A. LINS. 3 April, 1969 [5 April, 1968], No. 17610/69. Heading F2V. A mixing valve has a temperature sensing means incorporating a bellows 13 and sealed from a mixing compartment 2 by a housing 10, the temperature sensing means being detachably and exchangeably inserted in the housing, and a sleeve member 8 forming a valve for regulating the input of hot and cold water to the mixing compartment and connected by an axially displaceable piston-rod 5 to the bellows. Seats 61 and 71 co-operate with the sleeve 8 to regulate the flow of hot and cold water, respectively, into the chamber 2 in accordance with the position of an axially-movable base member 14 at one end of the bellows 13. A spring 16 separated from the bellows by an intermediate sleeve 18 may be adjusted by an abutment 17 in screw-threaded engagement with the rod 15. A screwed closure member 11 enables the temperature sensing means to be removed from the housing 10.
