Siphon-discharge water-waste preventers. - When the bell 9, Fig. 1, is depressed by means of a pull-chain 14, an annular disk 7 closes apertures 6 in the bottom of a chamber 2 carried by the stand-pipe 3. Water is thereby forced into the pipe and a siphonic flush started. After the flush, the bell is raised by a spring 16 or by a spring and counterbalance weight. In a modified form, Fig. 3, the chamber is formed by a fixed plate 18 and: the enlarged base of the bell. The spring may be inside the bell and be confined between the plate 18 and a guide 21 carried by the bell.
