1,262,384. Hydroxy-caproic acid oligomers. INTER-POLYMER RESEARCH CORP. 20 March, 1969 [22 March, 1968], No. 8347/71. Divided out of 1,262,383. Heading C2C. Oligomers of epsilon-hydroxy caproic acid or their mixtures with hydroxycaproic acid are prepared by hydrolysing an episolon-caprolactone with at least 0À2 mol of water per mol of lactone. A catalyst, such as an acidic cationexchange resin with sulphonic or phosphoric acid groups or a strong acid such as hydrochloric or trifluoroacetic acid, may be used.
