Abstract

1,262,121. Filter for vacuum cleaner. SANYO ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. 14 March, 1969 [18 March, 1968; 10 May, 1968], No. 13660/69. Heading B1T. [Also in Divisions A4 and E2] A filter for use in a vacuum cleaner (see Division A4) comprises a screen 52, which may be made of plastics material or fine metal wires, secured to a peripheral flange. Radial ribs extend from the flange to a central circular rib from which a conical portion 54 of the filter projects. An air inlet opening has a baffle flange 138 which directs air to the top surface of the portion 54 to prevent this top surface being blocked by dust. The conical construction enables the filter to function when dust blocks the screen 52.
