Abstract

1,261,400. Cigarette tip-paper. H. GLATZ R. GLATZ and J. STOCKER. 10 April, 1969 [11 April, 1968; 28 Nov., 1968], No. 18334/69. Heading A2C. [Also in Division D2] A tip-paper for connecting the filter to the cigarette, and formed to imitate cork comprises a major proportion of a ground natural fibre by wt., and minor proportions by weight of calcium carbonate and/or titanium dioxide; ferric oxide; an alkyl-ketene dimer; and a cationic polyalkylamine. The wet web, in the course of manufacture, may be impregnated with a cationic surfactant/saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon emulsion. The paper may have yellow irregular dots printed onto it to imitate cork, or it may be impressed with irregular depressions.
