Abstract

1,261,276. Magnetic separators. ERIEZ MFG. CO. 25 Sept., 1969 [26 Sept., 1968], No. 47256/69. Heading B2J. A magnetic separator comprises stationary magnets 11 disposed below a rotatable disc 12 and extending circumferentially over an arcuate zone, a further arcuate zone being unaffected by the magnets. The sides of the disc form a skirt 20 for conducting non-magnetic materials not trapped by the magnets to a circular trough 15. As shown fixed magnets 16 are provided above the disc 12 and the magnets 11, 16 are adjustable towards and away from the surface of the disc. The magnets 11, 16 are formed concentric with the disc but radial magnets may be used.
