Abstract

1,261,240. Frequency modulation. HAZELTINE CORP. 30 April, 1969, No. 21918/69. Heading H3R. A crystal oscillator circuit is frequency modulated by varying the internal capacitance of an active semi-conductor device, e.g. the baseemitter capacitance of transistor 11. The transistor is the active element of an oscillator having a crystal 15 as its frequency determining circuit. The control signal is applied between the base and emitter from a source 20 connected in parallel with a capacitor 21. Either terminal of the source may be earthed.
