Abstract

1,260,859. Brushes; hard scrapers. J. E. COOMBES. 24 July, 1969 [5 Aug., 1968], No. 37313/68. Headings B4B and B4K. [Also in Divisions A4 and E1] A brush stock 16 which is releasably secured to a handle 10 is provided with a tongue 18 which frictionally engages a socket 14 in the brush handle. The tongue 18 may be provided with resilient ribs 17. Rotation of the brush stock in the handle is prevented by the provision of a flat surface on one side of the tongue which co-operates with a similar flat surface 15 in the socket. A putty knife or paint scraper blade may be substituted for the brush head unit 26.
