Abstract

1,260,666. Packing vehicles. LIVINGSTON ALLPAK Ltd. 21 Nov., 1969 [21 Aug., 1968; 23 Oct., 1968], Nos. 40092/68 and 50427/68. Heading B8C. Tractor bodies 1 and 8 are supported off the ground or floor by four wooden upright supports 2 disposed outside the plan area of the bodies. The forward pair of supports 2 are attached to the tractor bodies 1 and 8 by screws 3 and 10 passing through plates 4 and 11 and engaging with threaded holes on the bodies used for carrying auxiliary equipment on an assembled tractor. Likewise screws 6 and 12 pass through the rear pair of supports 2 to engage flanges 7 of the housing of the rear wheel differential. Rollers 5 or alternatively skids are attached to the forward uprights. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 1-4) five tractor bodies are supported off the ground. Two bodies (1 and 2) are arranged directly above the gaps between three bodies (3, 4 and 5) arranged side by side. Again existing attachment points on the tractor bodies are utilized to secure the bodies to upright supports (8 and 10). These groups of bodies may be subsequently loaded into containers for transportation.
