1,260,587. Stabilized chlorofluoroalkane composition. MONTECATINI EDISON S.p.A. 17 Jan., 1969 [18 Jan., 1968], No. 2925/69. Heading C2C. A chlorofluoroalkane composition stabilized against hydrolysis by reaction with substances of a polar nature comprises one or more chlorofluoroalkanes containing thoroughly admixed a stabilizer composition comprising one or more alkylene oxides associated with one or more linear and/or cyclic olefines and/or one or more simple and/or alkyl-substituted hydrazones of an aliphatic and/or aromatic aldehyde. The chlorofluoroalkane preferably is CCl 3 F, CCl 2 F 2 , CCl 2 F-CClF 2 or CClF 2 -CClF 2 . A novel stabilizer composition comprises (A) from 49 to 97% of one or more alkylene oxides, and (B) from 17 to 50% of one or more linear and/or cyclic olefines, and/or 2 to 4% of one or more hydrazones as above. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,169,584.
