Abstract

1,259,638. Transistor oscillator circuits. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 16 April, 1969 [24 April, 1968], No. 19345/69. Heading H3T. An oscillator, having two amplifiers such as a valve 3 and a transistor 10 in series with a load, has an R-C phase-shift feedback 6, 7, 8, 9 from its output to its input at T10 base, to which base a portion of the supply voltage is also applied through a potentiometer 13, 14 in order to maintain the frequency independent of supply voltage variations. The output, from valve 3 anode is fed via a shaping network R2, C5 and capacitor 11 to the phase shift network. The latter may include variable capacitors or varactor diodes. A synchronizing signal may be supplied at 17, and the valve 3 may be replaced by a transistor or thyristor. The regenerative feedback is effective only at the operating frequency.
