Abstract

1,257,402. Two-part couplings. SCHICK ELECTRIC Inc. 3 June, 1970 [21 Aug., 1969], No. 26772/70. Heading H2E. A female connector terminating a twin lead cord comprises casing 18 of resilient insulating material having a pair of preferably rectangular cross-sectioned compartments each containing a ferrule 28 with one end connected to a cord conductor 34 and a free end terminating in spaced-apart leaves 38, 40 extending transverse to the wall (26) separating the compartments (Fig. 3, not shown), each pair of leaves having aligned inwardly directed projections 50, 52 extending over the width of the leaf, the leaves abutting opposite surfaces of the compartments. The connector may accommodate twopin plugs having a range of pin diameters and pin spacings.
