Abstract
1,257,282. Regenerating supported noble metal catalysts. SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. 5 March, 1970, No. 10620/70. Heading B1E. A process for regenerating a spent halogenfree supported noble metal catalyst which has been deactivated in a hydrocarbon conversion catalyst comprises a treatment comprising heating it in an oxygen-containing gas followed by heating it in a hydrogen-containing gas, and repeating the treatment at least once. The catalysts which are regenerated may be of Pt, Pd, Rh and/or Rn supported on Al 2 O 3 , SiO 2 , ZrO 2 , Al 2 O 3 -SiO 2 , ZnO 2 -SiO 2 , mordenite, faujasite or zeolite -O-.
