[Also in Division E2] A fitting for securing a loose cover comprises a channel member 10 having apertured lugs 18 upstanding from its base and an L-shaped plate 16 hinged to the channel member by the hinge 17, which plate is slotted at 20 to fit around the lugs 18; the plate member 16 in use gripping a loose cover and forcing it into the corner of the channel member 10 opposite the hinge 17 and being secured in position by a rope means 22 passing through the apertures in the lugs 18. In use the two ends of the rope 22 are secured together in a locking device (not shown). The hinge 17 comprises a circular section bar 24 secured to the plate 16 and rotatably fitted to bosses 26 secured to the channel member 10.
