Abstract

[Also in Division F2] A hose is produced by the extrusion of a core, the application of intermediate reinforcing layers, the extrusion of an outer layer over the reinforcing layers, and the curing of the completed hose, wherein the core extruder, as shown, comprises a normal extrusion head 3 2 containing a spray head 3, fed by passages a, c, d, e so that wetting-lubricating liquid mixed with compressed air is sprayed on to the inner surface of the extruded core f. The outer layer extruder has a T-shaped head. Both extruders are fed with material from heating rollers via conveyers.
