1,256,540. Photographic developing apparatus. RICOH K.K. Dec.16, 1968 [Dec.28, 1967], No.59621/68. Heading G2A. A photographic ammonia developing apparatus has the open side of its housing 1 covered by a sealing conveyer belt 8, there being sealing rollers 9, 10 mounted for sliding engagement with the periphery of the open side and rolling engagement with the belt 8. Sliding contact members 11, 12 are provided between the rollers 9, 10 and the housing wall. In another embodiment Fig.2 (not shown), ammonia is supplied from a gas evaporating tray (18) outside the housing, a pump (25) circulating the gas across the opening from one side to the other in the same direction as the direction of travel of the belt (8) across the opening.
