1,255,627. Controlling burners. UNITED GAS INDUSTRIES Ltd. 6 Feb., 1969 [22 Feb., 1968], No. 8782/68. Heading F4T. A gas-fired heating apparatus including a main burner, a pilot burner, a combustion air fan and a circulation air fan, the gas flow to the burners being controlled by solenoid-operated valves and the pilot burner being electrically ignited, has a thermostat switch 2 in the electrical supply circuit and a flame switch 18 adjacent the pilot burner sensitive to a flame thereat, the pilot valve solenoid coil 15 being connected to the electrical input via an overheat switch 16 and the flame switch 18 in the absence of flame and the main valve solenoid coil 21 being connected via the switch 16, a safety switch 20 and the flame switch 18 during the presence of flame at the pilot burner.
