[Also in Divisions C3 and C7] Substrates are coated with compositions containing a heat-hardenable copolymer prepared by copolymerising a monomeric hydroxygroup containing mono-unsaturated bimolecular reaction product of maleic anhydride and a polyhydric alcohol with a copolymerisable material comprising acrylamide and/or methacrylamide and condensing the copolymerisation product with formaldehyde and a monohydric alcohol. In the Examples steel panels are coated.
