Abstract

1,254,935. Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis. R. G. VAN SANT. 5 Feb., 1969, No. 6145/69. Heading ASB. Hair and/or scalp treatment packs comprise N, N-diethyl-m-toluamide together with instructions requiring that it be applied to the hair and/or scalp for the control or treatment of seborrheic dermatitis. The N, N-diethyl-mtoluamide may be in the form of a 5 to 20% by volume solution in a carrier or vehicle, preferably aqueous isopropanol. Compositions for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis comprise 7 or 12% by volume N, N-diethyl-mtoluamide dissolved or dispersed in a carrier or vehicle suitable for application to the scalp.
