Abstract

1,254,350. Fairleads. OUTILS WOLF S.A.R.L. 12 May, 1969 [27 Dec., 1968], No. 23954/69. Heading B8B. A fairlead for guiding a flexible elongated element 1 relative to a winding drum 6 therefor, comprises a guide ring carrying freely rotatable rollers 5 which are engaged by the element 1 as it passes through the ring. The latter which is positioned between the side flanges of the drum 6 may be either secured to a stationary part of the drum supporting structure, or may be secured to one end of a lever 1 which is manually pivotable parallel to the drum axis to facilitate regular looping of the element on the drum.
