Bulbs; resistances on lamps. - A heating element consists of an incandescent lamp with a resistance coil arranged around the lamp and connected in series with the filament. As shown, the bulb is provided with ribbed bars 1 of glass or other transparent material on which the resistance wire 2 is wound. The filament 3 is preferably of carbon. One end of the filament and one end of the resistance are connected with contacts on the lamp-cap.
