Abstract

1,253,917. Heat reflectors. BRITISH CELLOPHANE Ltd. 23 Oct., 1970 [11 Nov., 1969], No. 55129/69. Heading F4W. [Also in Division H5] A heat reflector 1 comprises an array of unit reflecting members 2 made of polished stainless steel each mounted centrally by a pin 3 to supporting bars 4, each member being separated from adjacent members 2 by a gap 5 at ambient temperatures. In a preferred embodiment the members 2 are 1/32 inch thick and 6 inches square, the gap 5 being 1/16th inch at ambient temperatures. Slotted members 11 extending from the bars 4 serve to restrain movement of the members 2 in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the reflecting members.
