Abstract

1,253,573. Nigrosine salts. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 13 June, 1969 [13 June, 1968], No. 30145/69. Heading C4P. [Also in Divisions G2-G3] Nigrosine salts of C 2-26 organic acids having 1 or 2 acid groups are used in electrostatographic toners (see Divisions G2-G3). The salts are prepared by reacting the acid and nigrosine at above the m.pt. of both components. Specified acids are docosanoic, hexadocosanoic, chloroacetic, azelaic, sebacic, lauric and stearic acids.
