Abstract

1,253,056. Pressure sensitive copying paper. NAIGAI INK MFG. CO. Ltd. 23 Dec., 1969 [30 Oct., 1968], No. 51403/68. Heading D2B. [Also in Division C3] Pressure sensitive copying paper is prepared by coating part or the whole of one face of a sheet of paper with a composition comprising 20-40% of clay, kaolin, or talc, 10-15% nitrocellulose, ethylcellulose, or benzylcellulose, 1-5% plasticizer, and an organic solvent, all %s being by wt. and based on the total wt. of the composition and drying. The composition may contain ZnCl 2 , ZnSO 4 , or (NH 4 ) 2 S 2 O 8 as a colouring promoter. A reactive, colourless, organic material may be applied to the opposite face of the paper to form an interlying sheet for use in a pressure sensitive copying paper system.
