Abstract

1,252,694. Work clamps. H. F. SWENSON. 16 July, 1969, No. 35892/69. Heading B3B. A work clamp for use in a work-table having T slots comprises a body 10 having wing elements 12 for inserting in a T slot and screw jacks (26), (34) (Fig. 3, not shown), for screwing down into the bottom of the T slot to force the wing elements 12, which may include teeth 16, up against the edges of the T slot to fix the clamp relative thereto. The body 10 includes a rear projection 20 and a forward projection (30) forming inclined parallel angled ramp surfaces between which a movable jaw 50 is slidable. The movable jaw is pulled down by an angled cap head screw 60 retained therein by pin 62 to move a work-gripping face 58 forward and downward. A workpiece mounting pad 70 may be provided on each clamp to level a workpiece on the work-table. The work gripping face 58 may be arcuate.
