Abstract

1,251,934. Seat adjustment. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Sept.21, 1970 [Oct. 2, 1969], No.44820/70. Heading A4J. The height of a vehicle seat 1 is adjusted by rotation of cams 6, 7 mounted on each side of the seat and connected by transversely extending shafts 4, 5, respectively, the rotation of the cams being effected by the operation of a reversible ratchet mechanism 17. The cams 7 mounted at the rear of the seat are larger than the front cams 6, so that the rear of the seat is raised or lowered to a greater extent than the front of the seat.
