Abstract

1,251,256. Brake failure indication. E. HEINKEL A.G. 28 March, 1969 [29 April, 1968], No. 16270/69. Heading F2E. A double circuit brake system is provided with a master cylinder having two outputs and two diaphragm actuated pressure switches, one in each circuit, which control the brake light 19. The switches are connected in such a way that, should one only of the circuits fail, a brake failure indicator lamp 22 is energized. In the construction shown a pin of a diaphragm urges a spring contact 14 into engagement with a contact 15 when the circuits are pressurized. A pair of pressure switches each having four contacts are disclosed in a double circuit brake system for indicating brake failure of one circuit only (Figs. 7 and 12, not shown).
