Abstract

1,251,173. Stud and socket fastenings. I.S.A.P. S.p.A. 7 May, 1970 [10 May, 1969], No. 22088/70. Heading E2B. In a stud and socket fastening both the stud 9 and the socket 16 are hollow, are made of thermo-plastic material and are each integral with a part of a container, and the stud 9 is provided with hollow hemispherical projections 12. The latter may be provided with reinforcing-ribs 13, Figure 2, which may be diametrically opposed, and may be located within the same plane, or may be located in two planes as shown in Figure 6. The stud 9 is chamfered at 10 to facilitate entry into the socket 16 and is tapered at 8.
